This is what they call "flake-type" type curry, instead of the usual curry bars or liquid curry. The packet feels like it contains just curry powder, but all the flavourings are mixed inside.

It is relatively simple to cook. Just boil your ingredients until they are soft (the usual curry ingredients are carrots, potatoes and onions), pour in the curry flakes, mix well and simmer a while more, and you're done! We made curry udon with our curry.

It is not as sweet as what most of us would expect from a Japanese curry, but nonetheless, it's thick enough and packs enough flavour. The package said that it is meant for "six plates", but um, the three of us finished everything in one sitting ^^"

You can purchase it from Amazon Japan if you are in Japan.

It seems like Japanese vegan instant noodles don't vary much. You either get shouyu or miso, and on some days, tonkotsu. This instant noodles is no different.

It has a simple taste of shouyu (soy sauce) and sesame oil. Add a generous shower of ichimi or shichimi (chilli powder) and you're good for lunch.

I made sure to put only just enough water for the noodles to boil in, and added more water as the noodles expanded. The soup concentration was just right. I can't taste any hint of brown rice in the noodles!

These dried oranges have just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness in my opinion. The taste and smell of orange is very strong. It's nothing like the Chinese style "sour and sweet" dried fruits. This is worth buying if you do not mind the chemicals in the ingredient list.

As far as I can tell, the ingredients are likely to be all vegan, but there is always a possibility that I'm wrong so consume only if you're comfortable with that.
