Vegan Kinako Cookies ヴィーガンきなこクッキー

Vegan Kinako Cookies

I was in Japan in May, and had the opportunity to visit Natural House in Kobe.

There I found vegan cookies!

This kinako cookie was one of them.

Kinako means soybean flour and I think it is what gives these cookies a powdery texture.

The cookies taste very mild and faintly sweet - great for people who not into very sugary snacks.

Natural House can be found throughout Japan. They are not a vegetarian or vegan store, but rather, a health food store.
